Yes. Lime plaster is common in Victorian and Georgian properties. It moves seasonally and develops hairline cracks. We stabilise it before any finish coat. Standard modern fillers are not suitable.

Can you match existing period colours?

We can match existing colours using spectrophotometer readings or by comparing to current paint ranges. Farrow and Ball, Little Greene, and Papers and Paints all work well on period walls. We can discuss matching options at the site visit.

How do you protect original cornicing during painting?

We mask cornicing carefully before painting. Deep profiles are cut in by brush. Where paint build-up is excessive, we can recommend specialist cleaning before repainting.

Do you use low-VOC paints?

Most premium ranges we specify, including Farrow and Ball and Little Greene, are water-based and low VOC. We can specify low-VOC options across all surfaces. This is particularly relevant for bedrooms, nurseries, and home offices.
